Use mineral oil/vetRx on the face, comb, wattles, beak, and legs/toes to give it a nice healthy look. Use pink spray/the spray folks use for Jerry Curls on colored birds, it gives a nice sheen, just dont use it on white birds because it attracts dust. Feed scratch the day before leaving for the show so their poop will harden up alittle and not be runny on their clean feathers. Pluck any broken feathers 6 weeks before the show to allow them to grow back in time for the show. Use some laundry bluing in the wash water for white birds to make them brighter.

I know there are more but I cant think of them all right now, this should be a good start though.

I don't use spray, but I pet them a few hundred strokes with a silk scarf the morning of the show. Just pick one up and start rubbing as you walk around yacking at all your friends. Makes 'em very shiny.

No ideas but a question along the showing lines. How do you wash the chickens head (particularly birds like silkies, etc.) without getting the soap and water in their eyes and "noses"?
