I'm sooo ready !! So what's happening round your place during springtime?
It's cold day here in Louisiana, I was looking at some old pics from last spring , I hope yall enjoy!

Well these are my most favorite frogs, Green Tree frog & the chickens too!the frogs were hanging out on my bell pepper plants.

We live on the water & lots of turtles come up & lay their eggs on our property. This is an Alligator snapping turtle, pretty big one. Also that's Puffy Girl the cat.

Ya we are more than ready here in the frozen north.

Can't imagine nice warm weather this time of year. Down to -5f again tonight, and that plain sucks........

Nice pictures Bayou...I sell the green tree frogs at work. I love them because they have so much personality. I'm surprised that you still have the cat. Those snappers can be pretty cantankerous.

Thanks everyone, now those pics are from last year.... I was just needed a reminder that it will be spring time soon!I know we're not as cold as other folks are up north,but man it was cold yesterday!You know the kinda cold that makes your bones hurt! I guess I shouldn't complain, we haven't had snow since 2000.
I wish was having baby chics.I always end up with too many roosters! Those Araucana eggs are beautiful!
Yeah Puffy Girl is still around, the chickens freaked out when they saw that turtle.Cats just cant help themselves!We've got way too many cats, about 17 last time I counted.Don't have to worry about mice!
I'm glad yall enjoyed the pics. It's kinda hard for me to type what I'm thinking never have been much of a writer or speaker, but yall are helping me out of my "shell" so to speak. I do enjoy taking pictures,as you see. So bear with me!!!

Bayouchica you are a wonderful photographer! Honestly! The frog picture is as award winning photo I have ever saw. Animal pictures are a very hot item right now. What kind of camera do you have? Snapping turtles are bad news. That is too bad about the kitties. Up here barn cats have a very short life. My friend Denise has a hard time keeping them. They usually wander off(especially toms) and get eaten by coyotes. She has 2 barn kitties now(both a older female kittens) and she is getting these 2 spayed so they will stay around the barn. My username is one of her barn kitties name! They are precious and Jack the rooster has aleady adopted them as part of his flock. He makes sure everyone minds in the barn lol. Please keep posting your pictures as we love seeing them. It is very cold and snowy up here in Michigan!
 
Bayou, great pics! We used to live on the lake too...& loved having all the baby turtles hatching in our backyard. We used to put rabbit cages over any nests, so the armadillos & such wouldn't eat the eggs before they could hatch.

Yes, we're very ready for Spring time here in Missouri. The last month has been a constant battle keeping the chickens water thawed & collecting eggs before they freeze. C'mon summertime!
 
Hey Hot Wings, keeping warm up there?
I use a Kodak Easy share Z760 6 mega pixel. Bought it at Wal Mart for 200.00, two years ago. My first digital camera, so far has taken good pics. Maybe one day I can get a long range camera w/ a zoom.
Momma Hen, we also protect the turtle eggs around here too! We had a real wet spring last year, then it dried out like the desert. I would go around and water spots where the turles laid to soften the ground a bit.
