Can I put a fully grown chicken in with 4-5 week old "chicks"?

So can I literally keep her in a kennel for a month to quarantine her? Does she need exercise time?

We're truly talking about a backyard chicken setup here so there's not a lot of extra space to keep them separate. I'd have to keep her in quarantine in the garage for the month.
 
If that's all the space you have she will be fine - think about it... commercial laying hens never leave their cages and barely have room to stand. Even penned up for a month, your quarantined hen already has a much better quality of life.
 
how about this...if you have that much room, how about a barrier fence, several feet from the other fence, to truly keep them apart...? Then at night put her in the garage in the kennel? That way she is away from the others, but still has the fresh air and grass to free range, but can't get close to the younger ones. Just my suggestion, I don't know your set up, but I see where you are coming from.

**sorry I read your post wrong...you DON'T have a lot of room...then yes, she will be ok in the kennel...apologize again
