Dark Brahma

I have 4 Dark Brahma almost 5 week olds. When I ordered I asked for 3 pullets and 1 roo. Three of the Dark Brahmas look the same but the 4th one is definately different. Slow to feather and more white. Its personality is also different in that it's not the most social of the bunch but just hangs back and takes it all in before participating. I've posted some pics...



The one on the right is the "different one. The others all look like the one on the left

We have 3 dogs, 30 hens, 2 roosters: Buckeye, Partridge Rocks, Salmon Favs, Gold Comets, Easter Eggers, Austrolorp, hatchery RIR, New Hampshire, Jersey Giant, Dominique, mixed bantams, mixed LF
Sold several of our pullets, could not overwinter 26 additional birds!

Its a boy XD Im on expert on sexing baby dark brahmas! Just ask my 2 "pullets" Brad and Janet smile

Has 1 white miniature schnauzer, one grey tiger Kitty, 4 Miniature Horses, 1 Shetland Pony, 1 Grey Polish Bunny, currently 45 chickens of every different size, color and personality, 7 baby buff laced brahmas, 1 baby Gold laced Brahma, and one Royal Palm Turkey~

dont go by the size of their legs its not an accurate thing to go by. it looks like a boy since they are feathering in defferent with different coloration.

Your pic definitely is a young cockeral. Darks are very slow in feathering out and maturing. It will take a while for him to shed his chick feathers for his silver pencilled plumage
