They loaned him an standard book, and offered excellent advice on how to hactch, grow, show, and market his newfound treasure fowl.
John was very pleased with all this advice, and the two goat does that his neighbors gave for free, so that he would have the ability to sell delicious goat's milk.

Soon he was eating eggs, omelets, quiche, and french toast, while also making cheese, yogurt, butter, and ice cream; and he was happy, even in his dreams.
He realized that all this good food and peaceful life, is what people love about the country. For the life of him, he couldn't understand why Dan hadn't liked living there.
Suddenly, a little kitten appeared at John's front door and mewed hungrily.
John, being a kind-hearted person, took the little kitten inside and fed it all the goat's milk and cheese that it would eat.

The kitten became his pet.
He named it Singe, because it hopped in the oven one day, and he almost burnt it when he turned on the oven. From then on, he gave up fish, for it was too much of a temptation for Singe to climb on countertops, break into refrigerators, or hack into his computer to glimpse images of fish (bass, cod, catfish, haddock, salmon, tuna, etc) from John's numerous fishing expiditions.
