Chicken won't eat laying pellets or Mash Help.

I ALWAYS feed layer pellets in the early am (b/t 7:00-10:00) Chickens are most hungry then. You can prob give treats/corn around 4:00/5:00. Don't give treats until they've taken to the Layer, though!
My chickens like and eat DuMOR Layer, what brand are you feeding?
I've got 11 fertile eggs under 2 setters right now. I really hope they hatch!

. I'm gonna feed DuMOR 20% starter/grower then Grower/Finisher.
You can also mix some 20% chick feed in w/ their layer pellets/crumble. Layers LOVE baby chick feed! This should get them associated w/ the pellets' taste.
TSC now sells 10lb bags of 20% chick feed. Try that...

Best of cluck...

Hello, Have just found you via google search as my two "new" re-homed chickens won't eat and are generally behaving like teenagers. They are my first ones and I feel SO responsible. Your posts have given some great advise and I have now stopped all treats and trying the tough love treatment until they start eating layers pellets/ mash. I have bought so many different ones that enough is enough. I may need counselling at the end tho........
One question, Is it OK to put ordinary organic cyder vinegar in their drinking water? I have been doing this for 10 days and they seem well enough. Many thanks -
