Does rooster influence layer egg size ANSWERED

Now, I just put my little bantam rooster in with my large hens about 3 weeks ago. One of the hens laid a very tiny egg today. She has never before laid a tiny egg. Are you sure rooster size doesn't affect egg size?

Those are known as fairy eggs or fart eggs. The rooster influences the egg size of the next generation. I know this because my White Leghorn rooster mated my small sized not SOP Auracana (she lays a medium green egg). They produced a large fowl pullet (Sunny who is slghtly smaller than a White Leghorn pullet) she lays a large blue/lt green egg. She in turn was eventually mated by my Partridge Silky Davy. Sunny (EE/WL pullet) and Davy (silky roo) produced a small sized pullet, Vanilla Ice, who is larger than a silky, but smaller than a leghorn pullet. She lays a small green egg.

I have two bantam roos with a flock of 18 mostly larger hens like Jerseys and Australorpes. My wyandotte takes zero funny business off the roos. She has mastered the art of flinging the randy roo over her shoulder onto the ground and pecking him smartly in the head. He seems no worse for the wear, ego bruised a bit, and moves on to a sexy dance for the next hen.

I saw my (about) 6 month old bantam polish try and mate for the first time today. It was a sad, sad sight LOL. He picked a similar aged black sex link (who is twice his size) and at first she let him try. He jumped completely up on her back, wobbled around a bit, lost his balance and fell off. A couple of minutes later he tried again, but after his previous, pathetic attempt, she wasn't going to give him another shot. HAHA

I was wondering the same thing? I have a Dutch bantam that normally lays quite large eggs, but since my little serama/mille roo has been getting busy with her, her fertile eggs are half the size?
