Thanks again for the replies to yesterday's brooder temp post. The temp is between 85 and 90 degrees, and all the girls seem comfortable now.
The problem we have this morning, is a chick that seems week, and is rocking when she sits. She was fine last night( I checked on them 3 times), and this moring when I cleaned them, but when I just went in to use the bathroom I noticed she was walking funny, and had trouble keeping her balance at the feeder. I checked her over, and couldn't find anything wrong, so I set her on the floor, but she refused to walk, and just sat there rocking. I brought her a couple meal worms(which she ate right away) and some sugar water, she drank quite a bit of that. She also pooped while she was out, it seemed normal, no blood, not watery. Although it was a little more firm than it's uaually been, but that could be the change in temp I'm guessing. I put her back in the brooder and she pecked at the thermomether with the rest of the girls and then went back to laying down. Oh, and when she lies down she rolls to her right side.
Any ideas on what this could be?
