I put my three pairs of parakeets outside in an avairy for the summer. Last week two hens got into an awful fight over a nest box. I had to bring one in because her injuries were so bad and I was afraid the cold and injuries together would kill her. She recovered well and I put her and her mate back in the avairy sat after rearrangeing the nestboxes. This morning the same two got into it again. Both were hurt pretty bad,I brought both in with their mates and am keeping them warm and giving electlytes and vitamins in their water. Am worried about one ,she almost had her leg chewed of and lost a lot of blood.
I've never had them fight so over nest before. Last year they all lived together fine.
