Are my eggs bad?

To be honest, it depends on what light-source you are using for candling. If you are like me, and have a weaker light, your egg will appear to just have a dark mass in it. This mass is the chick, and will soon take over 3/4 of the egg by the third week.

Unless your egg smells, or weeps, I would not declare it to be dead and remove it yet. It's very hard to tell a dark bacterial mass from a live chick (unless it's moving), without a really powerful light and a lot of experience.
