Our chicken Lady Hawk is down and not doing so good. she was found last night laying on the ground in the coup, its rained two days straight and a lot of wind so we thought she had gotten cold and sick. She has diarrhea, trouble walking, has to be hand fed water, and doesn't seem able to keep herself warm. I read horrified in a book that if one solution is to destroy the bird but we are quiet fond of all our chickens and would like to know how to save her. Please help, any advice, treatments, suggestions, anything is welcomed right now as we are quiet worried for our hen Lady Hawk. Right now she is in a pet carrier nestled in a towel and has access to fresh water even though she doesn't seem to have the energy to drink out of it.

Have you checked her THOROUGHLY for lice or mites? When was the last time you wormed her and with what?

We haven't gotten the flock or her wormed yet due to our small town not having chicken wormer and so we have been looking on the internet to find a safe wormer for them. She doesn't have lice or mites, but the rest of the flock now has diarrhea. One of the local feed store owners said to give antibiotics to the flock and her.

you said it was raining for some days, make sure there food is not getting wet, moldy food can make them act like that, get them on vitamins, and make sure there food isn't contaminated in anyway
