Thought I'd share an almost free E-Z chicken feeder and waterer I made at home in less than 10 minutes from stuff I had. Almost too E-Z !
First, I took an old plastic sports bottle and cut 2 rectangular holes big enough for the feed to come out at the bottom of the bottle. I then super glued it ( you could screw it I suppose) to a plastic plant water dish and voila, a small feeder great for chicks or 2-4 chickens. I added popsicle sticks to keep them from scratching the feed out. I cut the popsicle sticks in half and cut slits in the bottle to stick them in.
I then took an empty juice bottle and cut a small rectangular hole about 1/2 inch above the bottom. I filled it up with water and placed it into a tupperware bottom and voils, a waterer. No need to screw or glue, the water is heavy enough to keep it from moving. Good for 2-4 chickens. Hope you like 'em !
