Not me, one of my ducks.
Just for fun I left some eggs in the corner of the duck house and one of my younger ones (hatched last year) decided to sit on them. For the first few days she came off the nest a lot, any time I fed them she would join the flock and then go off with them when they'd eaten enough. She might return or she might not. This has been going on for about 3 days.
Now she's a little bit more serious. When I let the ducks out this morning she did her usual, i.e. eat with the rest and then go into the main yard. About 5 minutes later she came rushing back, quacking away, (probably saying OMG OMG I forgot about the kids!) and ran into the house.
Knowing that runners are not famous for their broodiness, I won't be surprised if she loses interest. But I did have 2/11 go broody on me last year and one of them actually hatched 4 out.
I don't mind if the incubation doesn't work. Actually I'll be away when the hatch should be happening.
What she needs is a book called "Brooding and Hatching for Dummies". Does anyone have a spare copy?

Update:
I just went to the duck house to get the birds' "lunch" and she was on the nest. When I walked in she hissed at me. Good for her! She's showing a bit more ownership!
Then she went out to get some food but when the others finished eating she went to one of the water dishes, drank a lot and then back to her eggs.
Oh, and I saw her earlier putting bits of shavings on her back as if nest building.
