I bought what was supposed to be a coronation sussex chick but, it is almost 10 weeks old and the legs are yellow not pale like my other sussex that is now showing the lavender/silver on the neck and tail. Can the roosters and hens be that much difference?

is it large fowl or bantam

the bantam is close to being perfect but the large fowl still needs alot of breeding work

also the hackle should be pidgeon blue

leg colour i cant see any mention of it being a specific colour

I thought that yellow was not an option on leg color but, I couldn't find any positive info on the legs. To silverfox0786 it is not bantam
In the US the legs should be white. There are no bantam Coronations in the US, though there are bantam light and bantam speckled.

Silverfox0786 is in the UK, and there the Coronations are based on blue instead of lavender. It sounds like they're still working on the LF over there and maybe leg color isn't perfected yet?

In ALL countries the leg color should be white, and in Europe they have the same Lavender based that we do, at least, considering the fact that we imported ours, such makes sense.

Oh ok, I thought the UK had BBS Coronations, and the US and Australia were lavender.

unfortunatly the true coronation sussex died out in UK and was retryed and that is why there are alot of glitches getting it back to perfect

with that said i think that is why leg colour has not been added to a specific standard just yet
