info wanted in a vintage Buckeye Incubator

Not a great picture but my aunt got it all cleaned out and found this face plate inside. Quintinp, I thought you'd get a kick out of this and know you were dead on about the era and all. I'm "hoping" to pick it up this weekend but it's going to take a small crew of strong men to get it here safely. I'll be sure to post more pics once it arrives!!! How cool it this thing? LOL, I love it but still agree electric is going to be our best bet and I can add turners that way too.

Thanks for the picture, it is really cool. When you get the incubator, could you take the front plate off of the thermostat, and show me a picture of what it looks like in there?

I'll be sure to let you know when it arrives home and we can get whatever you'd like for pictures. I find this thing fascinating, lol... It apparently was made to run with some sort of electricity. My aunt says they didn't have power back then and they did run a small kerosene heater in it, so I'm a bit confused as to how it original worked but I trust we will figure it out once it lands here. Hoping this weekend but no promises. Thanks for your interest and info, night!!!

Big Bertha has finally arrived, it's in

remarkably good condition!! I wish I could find information on how it originally ran. There are metal slides on the floor where the rack system sat. No original racks left, but man it is huge!!! Hoping husband and friends can do something to make it run again. 4' deep, 6' tall and 6'long, it appears the larger side was used to incubate while the smaller side had controls and heating units above and hatching set up below that.

I'll be getting more picture later today. My neighbor is 5'5" and can stand upright on the incubator side. This is going to be a fun project. A friend estimates it will hold close to 5000 eggs, lol... I'll never have that many eggs. I'm lucky to have 50 to set at a time, lol.... But who knows what will happen. I just love it, even if is only for a novelty.
