Thank you for the welcome...I just could not wait, so I have up'd my plans.
I have 6 buff orpy hen chicks coming from Meyer in June. Tomorrow I'll begin work on the foundation for a 5' x 8' coop, I'll raise the foundation, and pour a concrete floor, and build the coop on that.
My run will at least be the same size, most likely larger, depends on how it eyeballs to me....I'm going to wing it, ( no pun intended), I drew out some rough drawings, of a custom coop, but I'll go practical construction from there.

I'll take pictures the whole way, keep track of costs....etc., then share with this community here at BYC.
Thanks again, I have raised chickens before, but learn everyday on this site.

I just could not wait until next spring...:)
