Need help with turkey housing *a few updated pics*

Just yesterday I can home with 4 Broad Breasted White Turkeys (2 are going to a family friend) They are 5 weeks old and in a brooder now but soon will need outside housing. I cant seem to find anything on builing simple inexpensive housing nothing elaborate as they are thanksgiving and christmas dinner. If anyone has some ideas or even pics it would be appreciated. Should the shelter be on the open ground or be elevated? If elevated do we do a solid wood floor or wire so the droppings fall through to the ground. DO they need bedding in the outside house like shavings or straw or hay? We were thinking of building a pallet shelter but seems so silly to build a large heavy stucture for only a few months and then have to pick it up and move it out of the yard to store when we are done using it. Do they need an outside pen? Im a little lost and could use some guidence. Thanks.

I wasnt quite sure what to do so I winged it. This is what I made so far by myself with the occasional help from my hubby(I worked on it yesterday and today) all thats left is making the door which I will do tomorrow. All made out of scrap wood and pallets. I dont know if it is adequate housing for turkey but I think itll get the job done. Total cost ZERObig_smile.png my favorite num LOL.

That looks like it would work well... we have two turkeys, American Heritage Bronze, a hen and a male, and they live in a converted chain link dog kennel with an "A-frame" type shelter in it at night, then they free range during the day. They are named Thanksgiving and Christmas, but when it came time to butcher them last year, I couldn't do it. I straight up fell in love with them, since they both follow me around the pasture and sit on my feet. They're still going strong at two years..... I'm such a sucker.

Proud farm mama of 50 assorted chickens, 5 goats, 1 sheep, 1 alpaca, 12 ducks, 1 turkey, & 2 giant rabbits - and that's just outside. 5 cats, 2 dogs, 1 ferret, lots of fish, and oh ya, 1 patient husband inside.

Looks like your coop will hold 5 growing turkey poults. They may need more room as adults when they want to get off ground and roost.

I like the hoop houses made from cattle panels and landscape timbers. Run a 2 by 4 crossways for them to roost on. Cover structure with a tarp. This can all be taken down and put away or sold on Craigslist when you no longer need it.

So how much space do 2 turkeys need? we plan on processing them in prob oct and i know they get large but i dont know what they actually need and what would just be an added bonus for them. I dont want to be cruel and not let them live a good few months but i also dont want to put too much into them only because im attempting to not get attached lol.
