Are these Silkies? Is this normal? Total Silkie Newbie!

We just have inherited 2 Silkies from someone who recently passed (friend of a friend thing...). They are beautiful Silkies (I think). We have Marans, Silver Laced Wyandottes, Buckeyes and a few other breeds but we have NEVER had Silkies before! We have no info except they were really well taken of. Looks to me to be maybe 8 to 10 weeks.

Ok, here goes the questions! Are they Silkies? And the one has a much more pronounced POOF than the other. The other is smaller in build as well. And also, can the one with the giant poof see? I feel bad for her (or him)! Is that normal?

Sorry if these questions are silly but I have no idea about this breed! I have been trying to read up on sexing...any guesses?

Silkies?
 
The first is definitely a silkie and it looks like a pullet. The second looks more like a silkie mix and I can't be certain of the sex...can't see the comb area.

The really can't see well. They are not good for freeranging since they can't see predators. Some people trim their eyes out so that they can see better.
 
1st is a pullet and looks to be older than 8-10 weeks 2nd looks like it may be a pullet to but cant see the comb and it may be mixed full body shots would help as well
