furbabymum, how are the legs and their owners doing?

They are perfectly fine. You can still tell where the leg bands were. I'm hoping eventually their legs won't look that deformed. They're walking and swimming and acting fine so I think they're ok. Some of them had worse cuts from removal than others but everyone seems to be healing just fine. I think of all of us I'm the most scarred from the entire thing. They were afraid of me before but now it's more like abject terror. Makes me feel awful.

The abject terror phase may be largely due to their age.  We had no big issues with our runners, then at about three weeks, suddenly I was treated like an axe murderer.  This phase lasted for several weeks, but with the help of Duck Forum members, we got through it.

Nine beautiful Runners, four beautiful Buffs, thousands of beautiful memories and counting.

Wow I LOVE the water ideas! (husband is starting to stress about the mess the 2 ducks are making in the chicken coop!) I had put plastic car matts under the waters hoping for them to catch the dribble some help but not much. Thanks for the ideas!
