My wife and I got our first chickens Jan 28th. We started with 12 but 2 of them ending up being roosters. I wish that we could keep one rooster but they are not allowed were we live. Our 4 kids love to watch and hold the chickens as well. We have been averaging about 3-4 eggs a day, but I hope it increases as more time goes on.

hi! dont worry, you will be getting more eggs as time passes. With 12 hens, you will be getting about 10 (maybe 11 or 12) eggs a day! I hav 5 Americana hens, and with my family of 4, we have too many eggs! I always give some away to my neighbors, and they love them!

Have fun with your flock!

Hi and :welcome

The number of eggs you get will probably depend on the breed. But it should increase as the hens get into the swing of things if they're young.
