My 10 week old Old English Game bantam CROWED! D.gif so now he is off to live with my friend and is learning the fine art of humility from her rooster LOL! He's doing very well with her flock of 14, and has 3 friends his own age to play with. No other banties though :(

We shuffled off 12 of the new little babes to her place as well, the brooders were getting full of HUGE chicks! They are doing well outside in the day. She brings them in at night, as it goes down to 10C here!

So now I have 3 teenagers and 6 chicks left!

The teenagers I know their breeds, and 3 of the new ones are barnyard beauties from a different farm, but the other 3 new chicks are all mixed purebred. There is only one daddy and we're told he is a purebred Ameraucana (see below for actual pic of him... can anyone tell me what color he is?) and that the mommies are all different kinds of purebreds but we have no idea what they are! They lay all different kinds of eggs, some small white, some peach, green, pink, dark brown spotted, you name it! I'll have to get a breed book and look them up... unless anyone can help us identify breeds and/or colors? Some of you guys have probably seen everything! I hope because of their daddy, they'll all be easter eggers? There was only one Ameraucana mom, and she lay teal eggs. The only one of those that hatched died, so we know all of them are crosses.

So sad. The little guy I helped out on my last hatch looked poorly for a few hours and I really didn't think he was gonna make it. A few hours later he was up and chirping and 3 weeks later he is the leader of the pack.

Here is Bear.  The lady that sold me the eggs finally saw a pic of him and informed me he's not a Swedish Flower Hen, he's a Pure Golden Campine.  I'm just glad I'm not a crazy chicken lady that's worried about the breed of her chicks.

Here is an updated pic of Bear. I looked up Golden Campine, and yup, he's definitely that!

I'm so glad the mystery is over!

WOW she has gotten bigger. I like the coloring that is coming in.

1 quarter horse, 1 tuxedo cat, 1 siberian hamsters, 3 dogs, 1 hermit crab, 7 freshwater fish, 5 Brahma chickens, 2 showgirl chickens, 9 silkies, 7production chickens, 12 to be determined bantam chicks, 2 pekin ducks and 1 swedish duck....I should hatch a partridge for the pear tree to round it off.

Both boxes came from sellers in Michigan, both were labeled with eggs, do not x-ray and live embryos and both came the same week and both packed beautifully. Makes no sense why only one had rough handling.

Im down to only 2 now....candle at 7 days....sum had detached embryos....rest didnt even developed

I know I HATE shippin eggs!!!

Such a disappointer!!

Think Im goin to start traveling next time....Amanda is only 6 hours away & UA is 9 hours!

This is ty the black skinned NN from my hatch that i worried so much about .. he was born with a red bubble butt and a club foot ... both seem to have corrected themselves. Ty is smaller than the others some still but seems to be a head honcho or rather head hen since seems to be one of my few combless chicks from that hatch !!

Very nice!

I had an Ameracauna that hatched out July 4 and he had some sort of bubble on his butt.  He stayed smaller for awhile, but now that he and my other one are outside in the litttle pen, he's gotten quite a bit bigger then the other.  He also had spraddle leg.  His spraddle leg and bubble don't seem to affect him now. I'll get a pic of him later and post it.
