Good morning everyone im glad i found BYC website. I believe it will be a good resource for my kids and I. We have recently moved to the country and the first thing that the kids wanted is their own chicken yard. So what does Dad do, he starts building a "COOP". Do i know anything about rasing chickens ? Nope!!! So if anyone could help me in any way i greatly appreciate it. And picking out what kind of chickens I need for the best eggs. Thxs Hogjaws

. You've come to the right place. Is there a certain color of birds you prefer? Do you want White,Brown, Olive, Green, or Blue eggs? (I'm sure they'res more egg colors but I can't think of them off the top of my head. Also where are you located?
 
We are froma small town called Slaughter louisiana and no it dosent matter what color the birds are. I would perfer white or brown eggs.
