I think we all can agree that one of the best surprises in the world is when you come home to find hatched baby chicks that you weren't expecting!
One of my hens apparently had a hidden nest in the coop; she's sitting on about 20 eggs and since yesterday, 8 have hatched so far! One or two are pipping right now and I'm sure there will be more arriving soon!
It's funny because just yesterday I was wishing that some eggs would hatch soon because I mean, who doesn't love baby chicks? I haven't been able to satisfy my egg hatching cravings due to limited coop space.
And now that these chicks have hatched, I need to give them away/sell them before they get bigger and overcrowd the coop! (eta: message me if you're interested in them)
