Turkey with weird thing coming out of the skin

It looks like piant brissels. But brownish. It not pin feathers either. Is it normal?

Male turkeys, and some females with high testosterone levels, grow a "beard" - as in "bearded turkey."

Google some Tom pictures and check them out.

Not to worry, it's quite normal.

Chickens and turkeys in the backyard since 1984. They co-habitate with PB pigs (5) and barn cats. Only purebreds are Welsummers, SC Rhode Island White and Royal Palm Turkeys. APA. NRA.

You would be amazed what you can trade eggs for.

No woman ever shot her husband while he was doing the dishes.

Oh yeah, I got a nap for that.

If this is around the chest area that is the beard it will get bigger as it gets older and hang down in the front.

My Turkeys have the same thing kinda looks like a small black brush.
