We are looking to find a one of a kind home for our rooster Big Red. He is really a one of a kind rooster.... gentle, friendly and gorgeous. He is about 3 years old. He was a victim of frost bite and is missing the points on his comb- still handsome boy though! The reason we would like to find him a new home is for two reasons. One being that as much as we love him, we can't breed him to our hens anymore- as they are all related. And second reason is because he injured his leg a couple months ago. Although he is not completely disabled, he does seem to struggle mating now. He gets around just fine, rests on occasion- but really does not appear to be in any pain. When handled during his injury, he was as gentle as can be when we were trying to bandage him up. He willingly would go into the crate we had separated him in to. Just amazes us how much trust he has. We would like to find him a home on a large farm where he can live out the rest of his life and we would want to be able to visit him once and awhile. He is really a great bird and it really is hard to consider rehoming him........Only serious inquiries only please......
