What do you use for breeding pens?

I have a design Im working on for the future.
A large building, 20' x 30'. first 6 feet are fully covered for brooders and feed, then 5-6 pens on either side of a middle walkway, with two large pens on the end for layers and ducks/turkeys/meat chickens, whatever. Top of the pens are only covered halfway down to make sure everyone gets enough light. Still figuring out how to do the nest boxes, roosts, and feeders, water will be automatic. Nest boxes will have a little reachin door, so I dont have to go into each pen to get eggs. I can try to post a picture when I get home of the floor plan Ive drawn up so far.

that would be a dream chicken barn! Love it.

I'm interested in this topic. Currently trying to figure out what to do, as we have many breeds - and they'd only need to be in breeding pens when there is still snow on the ground - so no need for outdoor access. I plan to get them all out and back as one flock by April.

This is the area I have to work with. It's big. It does need better lighting in places.

I've already split this part of the barn into 2. Housing sheep on half and my turkeys on the other. Once I get the sheep out on pasture again, I'll split it up into 2.

With my layers and non-breeders staying in this area with access to the outside (which they don't go out much now that there is so much snow on the ground).

Right now everyone is in the last part of the barn.

I need enough pens for 7 or 8 breeds. Groups of 5 most likely. Ideas?? Oh and I have many pallets to use as walls.
