All mine does is squeak here and there- I have not heard them whistle...per-say. Now I have a black-bellied and that one always making noises...more so than my rooster. Lol

I have only started these breeds in early spring so I'm still learning...can they take multiple partners?...otherwise- can I add more females to the male?

They seem to like being in groups although single pairs work as well. They wont be much if any fighting but I doubt you can get a male to take on another partner.Treeducks pair-bond the strongest of all the ducks Ive ever kept. Plus the males will sometimes even share in the egg sitting. Thats how strong the force is with these.

Thanks so much for the info...I had a feeling they have attachment bonds with each other because they don't even go into the water without the other one going in. I may just get another pair so they can have more company. They do seem to enjoy being with my other ducks until they started flying around the yard. I'm going to have a huge netted pen but right now- I'm still recovering from surgery.
