I think it's much more likely she's just a barnyard mix than a very rare breed like a sweedish. I'd think anyone having sweedish would know what they have and sell them as such.
Yeah, Donrae, I really doubted I would be lucky enough to find a cheap Swedish Flower Hen in Kentucky, unfortunately. That would have been cool though, wouldn't it?
But it doesn't matter to me. I don't show my chickens or have a breeding program, so mix breeds are fine with me!
I've been really happy with my partially barred birds, I love her barring on the brown. I have a bsl roo over various hens so am hoping to get some more pretty partially barred babies next year!
