Lethargic Pullet + Watery Poo + Won't Wake Up + Can't Stand Up...Please Help.

This is the first one we have lost this far into it. Usually they die within the first couple weeks if they're going too. It still sucks to lose a chick, but I think it's different once you've built a relationship with them.

My chickens are like the kids ill never have...and I treat them as such (which is probably why they're so stinkin spoiled) my hen just started laying and every time I get an egg, I give her a huge handful of mealworms for a treat...I figure, positive reinforcement can't hurt, right? Lol

Right!!

Actually it can. Upping proteins and calories for chickens can have detrimental effects. A bird that has excessive proteins can have liver failure, spleen problems, and other internal issues , things that look like Mericks and actually are not, and a chicken that is too fat can have laying issues.

I am sure you are being careful, I just posted this for others who think more is better.

Someone please help!!! My chicken is very sick ive gave him vetrx, sprayed lice and mites spray, nutridrench in his water, and vitamins and electrolytes for stress and weather changes, ect. He has no energy to wake up and cannot keep his balance when he tries to walk. Hes been like this for two weeks now. Hes skin and bones and wont eat. Ive been forcing medicine in his mouth but it hasn't been working!!

Uhm...if the bird is skin and bone and its been "weeks" then you should put it down. Or take it to get euthanized.

Good god, think of how the bird feels. If a bird is sick do something about it. Dont wait weeks.
