Minnesota!

I like the looks of that percolator. Mom and dad used a metal one for years and actually just got a plug in cheapy for when their other son in laws ( who NEED coffee) come up from the cities. We've never been a coffee family. All this coffee talk.... I think I'll go grind some highlander grog.

I have a bag of Highlander Grog , It is opened and waiting to be used to help hide my illegal drugs on my next trip back from Mexico. It was the only use I could think of for it until now. If you chicken sit for me, I will give you the bag!

klopklop hurray for selling the eggs. you are going to need hot coffee if you didn't bring a thermos with you.....or maybe there is a coffee vendor at the market/\? there sure wouldn't be one at the closest farmers market here though.

they only operate at the worst hours: 11 to 1 on friday and sat. I ask you, who can interrupt their day to run out there during that time? never heard of a farmers market that wasn't the first thing in the morning.

still raining here....had to empty rain buckets around the coop this morning.

I did last year, but my cabbage was so poor this year it was not worth the effort.

I liked the homemade sauerkraut over the store bought, it has a mellower more full flavor.

Do not try the jar method, it failed, the crocks went great.

I am finally getting ready to go outside despite the weather. My old dog saw me get my coveralls and socks on ( I wear slippers until I go out) and she went to her bed and laid down and is faking sleep now so she does not have to go outside.

I really am going outside, I was just getting eggs ready for a customer and I noticed the color of this egg. It is a purple-ish egg. I have it next to other eggs for you to see. Hopefully the IPhone got the color.

I am guessing it is one of my pullets. I have not had this color from the old hens.

We see that on occasion. Seems like it gets an extra coating of something and is always on the smaller eggs
