Okay, wasn't sure the best forum to start this but figured since we were going to talk about egg laying this one would work. This was a suggested thread on another site and I thought it might be fun to hear from around the world. Just post your temperatures for the day, how many eggs (if any) you collected, and what breed (if you know) laid them.

Yesterday we had a high of 37degrees F.

We got 7 eggs from 17 layers in a mixed flock (see profile below).

Look forward to seeing others reports!
 
I am in Northern Maine, it got down to -15.2° last night. We are up to 13.5° at 11:30
I have two eggs so far today. One from Hedwig, an easter egger and one from Aphrodite, a bantam silkie.

Kinda hard to say. I've got two mature hens that are not in molt. They both laid yesterday. I've got one pretty young pullet (maybe 23 weeks) that has been popping out an egg a day but she skipped yesterday. I just saw her on the nest today. Then I have an Easter Egger 9 months old that laid her first egg yesterday. I have two more EE's the same age that are not laying. One started about a month and a half ago then quit after two weeks.

Yesterday morning the low was in the mid to upper teens Fahrenheit and warmed up to the upper 30's.

Since the egg starts it's journey about 25 hours before it is laid, I wonder if the effect of the wearther the day before may be stronger than the weather the day the egg is actually laid?

I do notice a drop-off in winter with some chickens but not with others, not considering molt.

I was wondering about the day before effects as well. Ours have been laying at 50% or better some days (100%)until that weather moved in this week and now they have dropped off some but still getting enough eggs for breakfast so I don't complain!

This 22 is the high for the day we got down to I think 5 last night! That's the coldest its been since last February! And thank you!
 
Went home for lunch & the birds were basking in the glorious 40 degree sun. So far 3 eggs from the morning.

Ended up with 7 total today. Supposed to be about 25 degrees tonight.
