My name is Myra and my chickens are pretty much my babies. If I could sit in the coop with them in the winter time for at least an hour a day I'd be happy. However, my coop is not big enough for me to do that! During the summer I spend close to four hours a day with them while I do yard work or gardening. I have seven chickens. I started out with nine almost two years ago but my beautiful silver laced Wyandottes passed away this past summer. Right now I have two Barred Rocks (Bebe and Pepper), two Americanas (Hawk and Minerva), a Buff Orpington (Buffy), a RIR (Red), and a black silkie bantam (Obbie). I also have three ducks as well but they are housed in a completely different area from the chickens and aren't as friendly.
