Thanks for all the good info, everyone. The hen has had no repeat episodes, but today the rooster's comb has black dots on just one side-- I hope it's not fowl pox? It almost looks like it got rubbed up against something that caused it to bleed in tiny spots. I don't think it looks pecked, per se. Always something new to worry about! His frostbite does seem to be healing. I suppose it could be frostbite dots, but it's in the main part of the comb, not on the tips.
