Pics of my new Kune Kune pigs So Cute!

My girls are growing well! My neighbor has a Pot Bellied Pig boar and wants me to bring one of my gilts over so we can see what the cross piglets will look like. Idk yet weather I will or not, my dad wants me to. He says the neighbor and I would split the piglets and we would just eat them if we can't get rid of them. I moved them from their temporary holding area to some nice pasture. They are sharing it with my two steers and my mini donkey Gus and they all get along surprisingly well lol

did you have any boar piglets born i just got two little gilts from slackwater farm as well
thanks andy

Hello Hello Kune Kune lovers lol
We had a great season with our Kune Kune pigs! One of our gilts had her first litter, four little ones on 5/16/14 ! Two boars and two gilts... They are for sale if anyone is interested just P.M. me or email me
Here are some pics of them, they are growing like weeds!

Thanks much

Oh yeah I completely understand. I took a long hard look and found two beautiful registered gilts for 500$ each close by. I have worked hard to keep a good relationship with the breeder. I can have the services of his boars in exchange for sow feed that we grind ourselves. Its a pretty nice set up, but we eat most if not all of our pigs that aren't our breeders. But its hard when you have such good looking cute lil pigs!

We are planning to get 3 kune kune piglets beginning of next year once weaned. How many months until they are ready to be processed? I’m asking because we will need to set a date with the meat processor so we can sell the meat vs doing it ourself.

So I finally got the money to go out and buy some Kune Kune pigs! I have wanted some since I was in high school so finally getting to see them and buy some for my own was great!!
So introducing… Gala and Fuji (lol I named them after apples hehehe) my two fully registered ten month old Kune Kune gilts… They are sooo friendly really they would sit on my lap if my dad would let me let them lol
He's used to the bigger less trusting hogs he grew up with so he tends to shy away from getting to friendly with these...
My Fuji girl saying hi

Here I am looking over Gala as she stuffs her face lol

Gala resting her head on my lap enjoying a good scratch behind the ear

Here the two are looking for some goodies

We are planning on taking them back to the guy I bought them from in June to be serviced by one of his Kune Kune boars. We plan on growing out most of the piglets for pork I may sell a few always. I’m excited to see how well they do on rotational grazing as they are known as a grazing less rooting hog. I have come to understand that if you have enough grass they can grow off nicely with lil if any grain just veggies, fruits, and grass… I’m pumped to prove to all the old men around here (they call me a silly girl) that you don’t need to raise a hog on concrete and corn to get some nice pork!
They are adorable! I have wanted a pig but I’m raising ducks so no pigs.
