March 8th is the cut off date for entries, so get your birds tested now! Only need to test ten, so YAY for that!!
Apparently there is a hotel nearby with an indoor pool if you're traveling. I copied the following from a local 4H club…. Thank you Bridget!!
Cut-off date for entries is March 8, 2013.
Showroom will be open from 12 noon - 10:00 p.m. Friday, March 22.
Showroom opens at 7:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 23 and Sunday March 24th.
Judging will begin about 9:00 a.m. on March 23.
Awards will be given at about 11 a.m. Sunday, March 24 or as soon as judging is completed.
Food and Refreshments will be available and there is plenty of free parking.
The Showmanship opportunity makes it a great show for kids to attend. As for non-poultry-minded members of your family, there may be a chance for some relaxing or entertainment. The hotel nearby is fun with an indoor pool with chairs around it which allows for more visiting with other young poultry enthusiasts that might be staying also. There is a skating rink nearby, so if some of your family wishes to partake in that you may want to call ahead for information about times. The poultry show typically has space for display of sale birds and opportunity to buy them, and a silent auction of agricultural and poultry-related items, too.
