We caught this guy Saturday. He has tormented and taken at least 3 of our chickens, two within the last week, but no more.

holy cow! Is that just a cat? What total jerks. I hate anything that wants to kill my babies. Way to be. I hope you catch the partner in crime before there is another loss.

It's a full sized bobcat. Measured 26 inches from ears to base of tail. We didn't weigh it, but he was heavy. Probably because he was full of chicken. It's been coming around for over a month now. But at least now he won't get anymore of my chickens.

What sort of trap did you use? We have a lot of bobcats here in w wa.

We have a large live trap. Once the cat was in the trap, a .22 does wonders.
I used part of the chicken that the cat had gotten but didn't kill. The chicken was hurt bad enough to have to be put down so I figured it was justice to use it for bait to trap the thing that caused it to die.
