Does anyone have a pic of a bantam egg? I'm not sure what to expect when my little tinies lay their first egg..I wonder how it they will compare to a regular sized egg.

Google search gave me this:

Looks to be about 2/3 the size. Probalby depends upon your birds. I'm expecting teensy eggs from my banty b/c she's so small.

My standard leghorns lay large to jumbo eggs. My leghorns are smaller than my Ply rocks which lay mostly medium size eggs.
In my case, the size of the hen doesn't always indicate the size of the egg she lays.
Hopefully your small banty hen will overachieve and lay bigger eggs than you expect!

I have lots of mixed-breed banties who both lay & go broody. I use their eggs 2 or 3 to 1 regular sized egg. I try to use them more for our own home use so I can save the regular sized eggs for sale. Except for their size, they can be used like any other eggs. They make really cute sunny-side-up eggs or hard-boiled ones.

My Sebright lays delightfully tiny eggs...I think it would be wonderful to start a 'tiny egg company'.......
