Mixed flock or not?

I have New Hampshire reds, barred rocks, buff orphingtons, jersey giants, partridge rocks, cuckoo marans, red sex links and a Rhode Island red rooster. The bigger the color variety the prettier and more enjoyable the flock will be. Just make sure the majority of the breeds you pick are known for their high egg production. After you spend some time with them and learn their ins and outs even if you wanted to breed you can still do it. I can tell which breeds lay the majority of the eggs in my coop.
