Please pray for my youngest sister, Heather, she got bit a few days ago in the face by a dog at work. She is a Veterinary Tech. She loves her work, and this was a horrible thing to happen. The dog was in for Chemotherapy and it just jumped up and bit her in the face! Very sad. She saw a reconstuctive facial surgeon today. They want the injury to heal for four months, then do the repair. From what the Dr. says it turns out better, less of a scar, when done that way. Anyhow she is not a happy camper and in pain, the cut, gash, goes from the bottom of her cheekbone to almost her jawline!

A good surgeon can repair that damage so that minimal scarring is evident. When she was 17 my daughter had a similar facial bite. A Rhodesian ridgeback bit her in the face causing a series of gashes from her eye socket to her jawbone and across her upper chest. VERY luckily he was unable to 'clamp' down on her face. Today after 3 surgical procedures (she opted out on any more), there is minimal visible scarring. Prayers sent for your sister and for skill in the hands of the surgeon working on her. Get a board certified plastic surgeon - settle for nothing less.
Oh how terrible. I'm so sorry this happened to your sister. It's traumatizing in so many ways. She will be in my thoughts.
