Our Lavender Americauna, our beauty

We are new to Black Mottled Bantam Cochins. Gender guesses? They are 4 weeks. Too Young?

I have no experience with the Cochin's, but I do have 5 Lav (Non Std) Araucana, yours has a small narrow dark comb. It's an early guess but I would be leaning towards a pullet.

One of our boy's at about 6-7 weeks. We have another that has a darker grey comb forming, it's not bright pink but it is acting very roo-ish. Although not red, it is very wide, and it also has red ear's already showing. The other three have small pink dots which we think are pullets. Time will tell if we are accurate.

Love those Lavs!

It's pretty early to tell on those Cochins, but they look suspiciously masculine. The Ameraucana is probably a girl? Hard to tell there as well. Look for pointed hackle feathers, shine on hackle or saddle feathers, etc. And of course, wattle and comb development and color.

The Lav is a girly girl. There isn't a question about her; I just couldn't resist posting a picture. The cochins, I am fairly sure one is a roo while the other I am still on the fence. The head is smaller but feathering is about equal. They also both spar together while our Lavender princess digs herself a hole for sunning. The smaller headed cochin is maintaining a dark baby color comb, while the other is pale pink. The waiting is awful.
