And fell on the ground. It was a pretty long fall, now he is just standing most of the time doing nothing. When he tries to walk he clearly has some problems and he supports himself with his wings (which he also holds a bit down). I didn't feel any abnormal bumps on his legs. Is there anything I can do for him? Is he gonna get well on his own? I'm feeling guilty as hell.

*I just picked him up to look for injuries again and he started flapping his wings. I put him down and it looked like he couldn't close them back. They were also tremoring pretty badly. It took him like 5 seconds to stop and to bring his wings to their normal position.

Does he have control over both of his legs? It's a good sign if he does, and he's likely to recover. Keep him isolated while he is having trouble to keep the others from picking on him.

If not (one leg hanging limp, no movement,) see if you can locate the break. It can be splinted but will heal slowly, and he'll need to be by himself the whole time.

OK...first, don't beat yourself up about it! Stupid things happen all the time, no matter how careful we are! It is horridly heartbreaking, and I hate it when something like that happens to me. But, try to learn from mistakes or accidents, and move on. No beating yourself up!

Next,

when did it happen? How long ago? If you felt his legs, and didn't see anything obviously wrong or broken, and it just happened an hour ago, or earlier today, I would say the following: lock him up someplace by himself, preferably quiet and darkish. I love a large dog crate, or something like that. Put soft bedding in there, and food and water in front of him and let him be alone for awhile.

In about 12 hours I would make sure he was eating, take him out, feel him all over again and see how he moves etc. But, even if it is only bad bruising (and nothing scary permanent), he could easily be sore and out of sorts for a full week.

I would check on him every so often, just repeat the above. Take him out, check him over, make sure he is eating and drinking. See if there is any improvement.

Good luck!

It happened about 5 hours ago. He doesn't seem to be limping or anything, it's just that he isn't walking that much. Mostly stays in one place looking around. At one point he was trying to balance himself, literally looked like a drunk guy trying not to trip over to the side. He also seems sleepy. Still no bumps or any visible injuries.

Then, you should hope he is just in shock and a bit bruised. I would put him someplace he can be quiet and not have to move much.

With any luck he will improve quickly.

He's very energic today. He runs picking fights with other roosters. I'll take this as good news.
