My ducks! 2 pekin and 1 khaki campbell. Does anybody know if my khaki is male or female? They turned 5 weeks old yesterday.

Yes
Pip the pekin goes, "rr rr na na type noise.. 1 syllable sounds
Khaki goes wa wa wa in a really low raspy voice
Squeak the pekin goes: wa we wa we
Squeak and the khaki kind of make the same noise.. Low and quiet
The other pekin is a little more high pitched/louder when it talks

Oh and I would like to know the sex of the pekins too if you know.

You Pekins look and sound like my females. They look big enough to be showing curled feathers if it is a drake. The females stand a little taller then the males and when you catch a female up they tend to squeal a really high pitched squeal while the boys are a little lower. hope that helps.

I have two female Muscovy and one male African goose. Thought I'd try with waterfowl since we have a huge pond. I've always had chickens and have hatched chicks. The gosling is the sweetest thing (other than the occasional mood swings and he bites me) but the ducklings are very frisky and hard to tame. I'm not sure how old they are but they are still quite small and haven't feathered out yet. Any ideas on taming them before they get too big?
