Hens crowing LOUDLY

I have had the same problem. I only have two hens, in the city. Both neighbors were ok with us getting these two hens. I am NOT ok with all the noise my BR is making. She is loud from 5 am- 1100am. I have found that squirting her with water worked for a couple days, but then she got all panicked and just runs from me. I have tried going out there and just sitting with her and petting her. It works, but I can't do that regularly. Any suggestions? I have lots of questions about rehoming her. Any one had success in rehoming hens? Will the quiet one become the loud one? Will the " new "hen get picked on/ bullied?
 
That 'crowing' you described is the ever famous Egg Song. Are they laying yet?

HAHAHA That is SO true. My girls all stand right by the sage bushes, which are right by my office, and sing. Loudly. One of them, I kid you not, sounds just like my cat when she's gotten herself stuck behind a door. She has a habit of "sneaking" in when I open a door, then getting stuck in wherever-it was and fussing for me to let her ouuuuuut.
I heard her fussing the other day and looked all over-pantry, closet, laundry room. Turns it it was Bella singing her egg song. I felt so silly

I have had the same situation under the same discriptions as you! The video pales in comparison. Here is my new solution.......and it is working. My coop is open to a very safe pen. Therefore, my chickens can come out on there own during the early morning. When they are on their roost for bed I put out a pile of leaves and branches from my yard. For some reason the new entertainment has been helpful and distracting enough to make for peace and quiet until about 8AM. Try it......I was so desperate I was willing to put out money......but I know better!
