Weird bird showed up today. Is this a chicken?

This showed up in my yard tonight. It makes coo coo noises. Looks a little like a chicken but the beak is not very chicken like. It scratches for food like a chicken does. Maybe a peahen?
It is very friendly whatever it is.


 
Wow that didn't take long. Thanks Chocolate! Pretty darn lucky chicken as it had to cross a busy highway to end up in my yard. I wonder which of my neighbors is missing one. More likely one of my neighbors could not take care of it anymore and let it go. I will take care of it however. Thanks again for the quick reply.
 
It's a golden sebright! I have 2, and that one looks about 5 weeks. They don't like being handled much and are very silly little chickens. Very... expressive. And flighty.
 
Wow! What Luck - What a beautiful chick!
I'm thinking "flighty" might explain how it crossed the road...
