nyone out there who just put some eggs in the bator? I just added 4 duck eggs. -mystery breeds. I always love hatching barnyard mixes:D I will soon be adding some EE's. YAY!
This is the duck eggs' second day in the bator and I can't wait until its time to candle!! Its my first time hatching waterfowl so wish me luck!! I usually hatch chicken and quail:) . I'm using a Little giant still air incubator. The temp is 99.5°f. And I turn them 3 times a day. I mist them twice a day. (When I wake up and before I go to bed). I can't wait.!!
Problems:
-i cracked a dent in one of the duck eggs!! I fixed it right up with nail polish and candle wax. Hope the little guy makes it!!
 
I put 30 eggs in on the third, mostly mixed ameraucana's, had one hatch out yesterday on day 16, still going to lock down on Sunday! Also have 23 blue wheaten in another bator candled last night (day 7) most are looking pretty good! a few porous looking ones but they are still developing! Hoping for the best with those ones! Also have a few broody hens around outside! :) Good luck with everyone's hatches

Today is day 6 in the bator, I think I'm about to candle them! I am so excited for them to hatch.. Because I heard that ducklings and goslings imprint on you. I already have one imprinted gosling, who is fully feathered now, but he's still quite young. I remember my first time hatching, I put a dozen chicken eggs in the incubator. 3 hatched, but one of them would follow me around and she saw me as mama. She's now a big black Australorp hen names Lucy :) and good luck hatching everyone!

My July hatch is getting close! Should start hatching next weekend. 24 Marans, black copper, wheaton, blue, and cuckoo plus 14 RIR's. Looking forward to the Marans and I like RIR. Add these to my June hatch of EE's and I should hopefully have me a good flock of hens by spring. Here are some pics of my June hatch that are 4 weeks old today, if I can get them to load....
