Ijust got some new hens last wednesday, and yesterday i noticed one was just sitting in the corner not doing much so i took her out to watch her and would eat a little grass and the just sat down and stayed there. Now she wont eat at all.her poop is green and runny and seems to have mucus in it.
hope the new birds are quarantined away from your flock. I know there is a Poop thread(no joke) on here showing photos as examples, and captions of what they indicate.
I think if you entered "poop chart," in the search box, it may come up
Seriously probably the BEST post I've seen about chickens, I look at it a lot and share it often with others. It doesn't cover everything, but almost. Pin it, bookmark it, print it off lol it's very helpful
Welcome to the group though chickenmama55. Are the new chickens quarantined completely separate from your flock? They shouldn't even be allowed to breathe the same air because some diseases can be passed that way. New chickens should be kept away for at least 30 days because it might take sometime for illnesses to show their ugly faces. Sadly this isn't something that I see a lot of people recommending on this site The first I read about it was from The Chicken Chick blog. Best of luck!
