I have two chicken coops in my garden out in the middle of the garden. I am wanting to replace both of these with a single shed with shelving in it so they can sleep on it. I had a bad case of red mite and until I got rid of it (I painted the shed inside and out white with diatmanous earth) they slept in the cat run sleeping on the shelving (scaring the cats as well). Now where I want to put the shed is protected by next doors fence (where I live as you look at your garden you own the left hand fence the neighbour owns the right) and the house what I want to do it put a door on the wall that will fold flat when not in use and a brace for a fold down roof so when its needed there is now a run with a roof. I need to make it so my neighbour can get to his fence and they are only shut in the run when I am on night shift and they have to go to bed a bit early so any other time its not needed. do I sound insane or is this possible? They are shut in on night shift which with the number of days I work works out at about 85 per year.
