They´re beautiful geese. But really embdens? They took off from the water? Wow! They must be on diets!
That is a beautiful pic, but I can tell you my gander could not do that and he isn't over weight. Maybe from behind our home up on the bank where he could get lift, but naw I don't think so. I'd like to know where that is too, such a pretty place. They´re beautiful geese. But really embdens? They took off from the water? Wow! They must be on diets!Whereabouts is this, and what about the pieds in the pic? Are they geese gone feral on a lake? gorgeous.
I was thinking the same thing, not being feed as good as we feed ours would make a slimmer goose and most likely would enable them to fly, in Dave Holdreads book of geese i beleive he talks about seeing Embdens flying. my Sam no wayI´m curious about those geese. As most embdens can´t fly (being big meaty birds), nor toulouse in general (like the big embdens, except for the ones that just look like greylags), do you suppose they´re birds that are no longer bred for meat, but have been left to get on with things, and they´re slowly reverting back to slim-line geese that can fly? Just wondering, because these are really flying, not just skirting.
