Wow chickens that are 14 and 9. I lost Fancy, one of my original chickens, last fall. She really didn't want to go either, hung on for two months in an honored place in the kitchen. We kept thinking she was gone, then she would lift her little head up and give us that "look" as if to say you aren't getting rid of me that easily. She was 7. Gosh you guys bring up some memories!
