Hey All.
I am planning to raise a larger batch of meat birds this year and am looking for inspiration on where/how to rest them. I usually raise 30 and use my ducks pool and a couple of coolers but I am going to need more room this year. So what do you use to rest your chickens after processing? What are your methods for keeping cool etc?
Thanks!
Angie

I have three large coolers with ice and the fridge to do the resting of 30 birds in. As long as you can keep the meat cold, you will be fine with whatever you can find. Good luck. :thumbsup

I used to have an extra refrigerator in my garage that I used just for resting when we butchered a large batch. That worked beautifully. Now I just use coolers with ice and put the rest in my refrigerator. We put the birds in ziplocs and make sure the "zip" part is out of the ice water when using the cooler, so they don't fill with water overnight.
